We provide hands-on workshops for the public as well as primary schools, secondary schools, third-level institutions, corporates as well as youth and community groups and language schools. The leading facilitator Alex is highly experienced in the delivery of education workshops, Garda vetted and trained in child protection.

Understory provides a variety of interactive and creative workshops that are based on hands-on enquiry and experiential learning. Topics range from artivism, zero waste, clothes mending, sustainable foraging, nature connection and biodiversity including standalone workshops on pollinators and creating biodiverse gardens with zero waste materials. Each workshop features a presentation, a range of activities, games, and a feedback session to encourage reflection and plan next steps. Laura Kate Howells, ECO-UNESCO Youth Programme Coordinator

"Alex ran an online workshop with over 50 attendees. It was evident to see that Alex was a natural facilitator. She welcomed and engaged her audience making them feel comfortable to come on camera and speak, not an easy task. Her slides were beautiful, interactive and supported Alex's wealth of knowledge and passion for her topic, biodiversity."

"The design and shape of this programme was one of the freshest and most impactful that I have seen. This was a result of a combination of Alex’s design skills but also her passion for the subject."

Conor Harnett, CRS manager

"We understood her passion for the subject, but she has more than exceeded our expectations at every turn."
