Workshop Description

This Wild Foods & Sustainable Foraging workshop for Community Groups, Libraries and Family Resource Centers is led by an experienced forager to help you get started on your wild food journey. We will learn about some fascinating wild foods, sustainable foraging and explore various ways to incorporate them into your meals. A fantastic way to deepen your connection with nature and explore new culinary avenues! Learning Outcomes: • Learn how to identify commonly found wild leaves, flowers, fruits, nuts and mushrooms depending on the season. • Explore the benefits of wild foods. • Identify when it's not recommended to pick plants based on local ecology. • Understand how to forage in a sustainable and thoughtful way. • Learn new recipes and ways to incorporate foraged food into your diet. At our workshops, we offer a range of duration and delivery options to suit your needs. Whether you prefer in-person sessions or online workshops, each option offers unique advantages. For instance, a 30-minute online workshop provides a solid foundation, covering the basics effectively. However, opting for a longer, 2 hour workshop enables deeper learning and allows us to accomplish more together. Choosing the extended option not only enriches your learning experience but also ensures we can delve into more advanced topics and incorporate, resulting in greater value. So, for a more comprehensive and in-depth session, we encourage you to consider the longer duration options. Prices: • €150 for a 30 mins Online Workshop • €250 for a 60 mins Online Workshop • €350 for a 1 hr 30 mins In-person Workshop • *€450 for a 2 hour In-person Workshop exploring wild foods in a local green space. *In-person 2-hour workshop: Please note you will reap most benefits by hosting this workshop with access to a local outdoor space with access to hedgerows or forest. If you don't have a site, we recommend you opt for a 1.5 hour workshop or less, which can be delivered indoors or outdoors without the need for an outdoor location. In-person Capacity: We can facilitate a group of maximum of 15 participants per in-person workshop. Sustainable Development Links: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land).
