Workshop Description

This Invasive Species & Management Workshop for Community Groups, Libraries and Family Resource Centers explores invasive species commonly found in Ireland and teaches ways to identify them. We will also learn appropriate management methods and guidelines to ensure people's safety and prevent further spread. Learning Outcomes: • Identify common invasive species in Ireland. • Understand the impact of invasive species on native biodiversity and society. • Explore management methods. At our workshops, we offer a range of duration and delivery options to suit your needs. Whether you prefer in-person sessions or online workshops, each option offers unique advantages. For instance, a 30-minute online workshop provides a solid foundation, covering the basics effectively. However, opting for a longer, 1.5 hour workshop enables deeper learning and allows us to accomplish more together. Choosing the extended option not only enriches your learning experience but also ensures we can delve into more advanced topics and incorporate, resulting in greater value. Additionally, the 2-hour outdoor workshop allows you to investigate a site with an ecologist. So, for a more comprehensive and in-depth session, we encourage you to consider the longer duration options. Prices: • €150 for a 30 mins Online Workshop • €220 for a 1 hr Online Workshop • €250 for a 1 hr 30 mins Online Workshop • €320 for a 1 hr In-person Workshop • €380 for a 2 hour In-person Workshop including local site visit In-person capacity: We can facilitate a group of maximum of 20 participants per workshop but recommend smaller groups for increased interactivity and more one-on-one time.
